Sub-theme: From Vision to Reality – A New Chapter Begins

“The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “And in this place I will bring peace.”- Haggai 2:9 (NLT)
There are moments in life when we must stop and reflect – not out of nostalgia, but out of gratitude. June marks such a moment for us at Solid Rock Derby.
After seasons of prayer, planning, giving, building, and believing, we now stand at the threshold of something new. A dream once whispered in prayer has become bricks, walls, lights, and open doors. What was once a vision on paper is now a place of worship, community, and impact – right in the heart of our city.
This is more than a building, it is the faithfulness of God made visible.
The Psalmist put it perfectly:“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” (Psalm 126:3)
We echo that testimony with full hearts and lifted hands.
From Vision to Reality: A New Chapter Begins
This is not just a ribbon-cutting moment, this is a holy moment.
It’s the start of a new chapter – not just for our church, but for every life that will walk through these doors. This new space is a launching pad for destiny, a safe place for healing, a house of prayer, and a centre of outreach and revival.
We remember what God spoke through the prophet Haggai: “The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory… and in this place I will bring peace.” (Haggai 2:9)
That’s our declaration over this house.
Greater glory.
Deeper peace.
More lives changed.
And as we dedicate this space, we also rededicate our hearts because while buildings are important, it’s the people – surrendered, unified, and Spirit-filled – who carry the true glory.
What Are We Celebrating?
- God’s Unwavering Faithfulness – He sustained us through every delay, difficulty, and decision.
- The Power of Vision – What began as a seed of faith became a tangible reality.
- The Strength of Unity – It took all of us praying, giving, serving to bring this to life.
- The Hope of What’s to Come – We believe this is just the beginning.
A Call to Respond
This June, we invite you to do three things:
- Pause and Praise: Take time to thank God for all He has done – both personally and corporately.
- Sow into the Future: Whether through prayer, service, or generosity, be part of what God will continue to build.
- Step Into Your Role- You weren’t just called to witness this new chapter, you were called to be part of it. Ask God where He wants you to serve, grow, and lead in this season.
The Glory Is Just Beginning
As we step into this new dawn, let us be filled not only with joy, but with expectation. The same God who brought us this far is the same God who will take us further. His glory has not peaked; it is still rising.
Let June be a month of joyful reflection, deep gratitude, and renewed commitment because when God starts something new, He finishes it with power.
