Mission:
Men of Honour Fellowship is a Christ-oriented ministry dedicated to empowering men through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We emphasize the biblical importance of family, personal growth, and outreach through love, prayer, and fellowship.
Scope:
Our fellowship recognizes the multifaceted roles of men in life and focuses on the following areas:
1. Fatherhood: Nurturing and guiding children with love and wisdom.
2. Husbandry: Building strong and fulfilling marriages based on biblical principles.
3. Provider: Excelling as the breadwinner, supporting and meeting the needs of the family.
4. Spiritual Leadership: Embracing the responsibility of being the spiritual head of the family.
5. Spiritual Growth: Encouraging personal growth and deepening one’s relationship with God.
6. Finances: Equipping men with financial stewardship principles for financial stability and success.
7. Health: Promoting physical and emotional well-being for a balanced life.
Who We Are:
SRP Men of Honour Fellowship (MHF) is a Christ-oriented ministry that serves as a focal point for the spiritual growth of men in the Church. Our core focus is centered around the “4Fs” – Faith, Family, Finance, and Fitness. We aim to empower men to excel in various aspects of their lives based on these pillars.
What We Do:
Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our fellowship emphasizes the biblical significance of family, encourages personal growth, and extends love, prayer, and fellowship to others.
What We Believe:
MHF upholds the same core beliefs as the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Who Can Join:
Membership in the fellowship is open to every male of legal age (30 years old) who is a member of RCCG/Solid Rock Derby, as well as all married men of the Parish.
Our Meetings:
Monthly Meeting: We gather immediately after the church service on the last Sunday of every month for our monthly meetings.
Other Programs:
Saturday Rendezvous: Held on the penultimate Saturday of every month, this fun-filled interactive session begins with light fitness exercises, followed by a talk on a trending topic of interest, prayers, and testimonies. Quarterly Empowerment Summit: Taking place in the first quarter of the year, the summit focuses on equipping men with sustainable business models and initiatives in sectors such as real estate, agriculture, and finance. Entrepreneurial skills development is also emphasized. This is done in partnership with SRP Business Community.
An Evening with the Family: Held in the second quarter of the year, this event fosters family bonding in a relaxed atmosphere. It features an evening of fun activities, delicious food, and drinks for the entire family to enjoy.
Summer Coaching Classes: We sponsor an annual summer coaching program for children aged 5 to 15. The program, which takes place during the long holidays in August, provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn new skills, both academic and non-academic.
Annual Conference: The annual conference is a three-day program held in the fourth quarter, featuring subject matter experts facilitating interactive sessions on faith, finance/wealth creation, health/fitness, and family topics, providing valuable insights and guidance for men.
PROJECTS/ACTIVITIES:
Our fellowship is involved in several projects and activities, including:
– Total commitment to the church building project.
– Organization of seminars and workshops for members.
– Provision of transportation/Support to Church members.
– Visits to orphanages to extend love and support to the less privileged.
