We are delighted to once again be able to offer Derby Communities Holiday Activities & Food Programme (HAF) to children in receipt of benefits-related free school meals this Winter, on behalf of the Derby County Council, funded by the Department for Education.
Your child(ren) are invited to a winter of fun at Solid Rock Holiday Club in 55 Woods Lane, Derby from 2nd January 2024Â to 5th January 2024. This FREE and fun-packed holiday provision will include hot lunches and lots of fun, exciting and enriching activities. All eligible children aged 5- 16 are welcome!
From November 2023 onwards, you will only be able to book a place at a HAF holiday club if you have a Derby HAF code which shows that your child is eligible for benefits-related free school meals.

About Our Holiday Club
Solid Rock have been running Holiday Clubs in Derby for 6 years. Our ethos is to offer high quality, affordable holiday club childcare for hard-working parents whilst ensuring your children have as much FUN as possible in the school holidays. Our holiday clubs are open every school holiday and we are delighted to incorporate the Holiday Activities & Food Programme since Summer 2021.
Solid Rock FREE holiday club activities and food (HAF) day covers a four-hour session from 12.00pm to 4.00pm from Tuesday till Friday.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must have registered and received a unique code from Derby City Council (1 per child)
- Families receiving income-related free school meals (FSM)
- Families where there are FSM eligible and non-eligible children in the same household
- Siblings of eligible children, aged 5
- Newly arrived refugee families
- Families just managing financially (subject to referral from your child’s school)
- Families supported by Social Care or Early Help Services (subject to referral from the service)

Yes, our Holiday Club is for children aged 5 – 16. Any older or younger is out of this range.
Only children who fit the eligibility criteria above can register and attend.
No, our Holiday Club only runs through the seasonal holidays. Christmas, Easter and Summer.

If the parent / carer requires a paper copy of the form, this can be requested from the Families Information Service at [email protected] or by calling 01332 640758. However, the electronic form is the preferred method of completing the form, as spelling errors, incorrect
information or illegible writing could lead to the application being unable to be processed in time for HAF delivery.
If you have already been issued a HAF code, they can email [email protected] to request that their code is resent. You will need to include Your full name, address and date of birth in the email to ensure your records can be found.
